Crude oil up in New York

Crude oil has risen during early trading this morning (November 28th).
In electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange (Nymex), crude for January delivery rose as much as 0.8 per cent to $51.18 (£33.23) a barrel, after falling more than $3 yesterday.
The gains come ahead of a meeting of members of the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries during which it is believed that further supply cuts will be enacted.

Residential heating oil prices in the US have fallen for the seventh consecutive week, new data from the Energy Information Administration has shown.
Average heating oil prices seen across the country last week stood at $2.71 (£1.75) a gallon, down 12 cents on the previous week.

The two officers onboard the hijacked oil tanker Sirius Star have spoken to the British media for the first time.
During a phonecall made to ITN, chief engineer Peter French said that the pirates onboard the Saudi vessel had not been treating them badly.
